Surely those before them also had told so, thus whatever they had been earning didn’t benefit for them.
The aimless hypocritical disbelievers of every period who have been cheated by worldly life say that whatever favor they are given here is due to their knowledge and skill. But Allah says that it is a Trial for them in this world, as told in verse 6: 165. Through this verse, Allah warns that their disbelieving ancestors also had such arguments, but whatever they had from wealth, children, or influence did not benefit them in preventing the punishment of this world as well as the Hereafter. The Fujjar who are reading these verses in the Arabic Quran without knowing their Content is darted away from Islam. They have false pride that they are in the Truth more than any other people of the Messenger’s community, such as Jains, Buddhists, Hindus, Jews, and Christians.
These original disbelievers mentioned in verses 4: 150-151, by hiding and rejecting Adhikr—the Truth—are following falsehood. The Generous Lord, who taught mankind writing skills with a pen, has also taught them everything they do not know. It is told in verses 96: 1-7 that man is influenced by Satanic forces. The ledger of Fujjar who read these verses in the Arabic Quran is in Sijjeen of Hell, as told in verse 83: 7.
Adhikr revealed to all 313 Messengers from Noah to Muhammed, is to teach mankind that there is no Deity for mankind except Lord Allah, and so they have to serve Him alone, as told in verses 21: 24-25. See explanation 9: 28, 80; 17: 83; 18: 46, 103-106.
